Trump and Rubio Weigh Firing Guilfoyle After IG Probe Launches
President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio are considering firing US Ambassador to Greece Kimberly Guilfoyle following a series of reports alleging improper conduct. The State Department’s Office of Inspector General has launched an investigation into claims that Guilfoyle sought a $100,000 payment from a donor to cover personal credit card debt in exchange for political access. While Guilfoyle’s lawyers dispute the authenticity of the messages, Trump stated he is 'not happy' with her performance, and Rubio has expressed frustration over the allegations.
