Florida Colleges and Universities Face Hoax Active Shooter Threats
The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee campus was put on lockdown after a 911 call reporting an active shooter, which is now believed to be a hoax. Similar situations unfolded in several other colleges around Florida. Classes were cancelled for the rest of the day, and students were evacuated.
