Senate candidate claims dual residency in Arizona and D.C.
Arizona Senate candidate Ruben Gallego claimed his Washington D.C. property as his primary residence when he signed a Veterans Affairs-backed loan, despite his campaign maintaining that he resides in Arizona. Gallego and his wife also own a home in Phoenix, which they claim as their primary residence. The VA loan was made available to Gallego because of his service as a Marine from 2000 to 2006. The residency issue may become a political problem for Gallego, who is aiming to take out Sen. Kyrsten Sinema in a hotly contested race next year.
