Blockbuster's Website Sparks Hope for a Comeback
Fans of the nearly extinct video rental company, Blockbuster, are speculating a comeback after its website became active, with the company often sharing jokes about resuming operations on Twitter. Blockbuster closed most of its locations more than a decade ago, but one location remains in Bend, Oregon, and has become a draw for tourists purchasing nostalgic merchandise and locals renting movies. Despite VHS tapes, VCRs, DVDs, and DVD players being rare in most homes, some fans are highly anticipating a Blockbuster return.
