ABBA's Guitarist Lasse Wellander Passes Away at 70.
Lasse Wellander, ABBA's long-term guitarist, has died at the age of 70 after falling ill with cancer. He played on some of the iconic pop group's biggest hits throughout the 70s and 80s and was also involved in their recent Voyager album, which was released in 2021. Lasse featured on 24 of ABBA's recordings and toured with the stars, performing in front of sold-out crowds. He also worked with other Swedish artists when ABBA split for the first time in 1982 and released his own solo album in 1981.
