Lee never made a televised appearance for WWE aside from her participation in Tough Enough, but she did wrestle several NXT live event matches before her release from the company in September 2016. She is survived by her husband, former WWE NXT Superstar Wesley Blake, and their three children.

Former WWE wrestler Sara Lee, winner of Season 6 of "Tough Enough," died by suicide last October at the age of 30. The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office revealed that Lee ingested a lethal combination of alcohol and pills and left "letters of intent at the scene" before her death. Lee was found with bruises and abrasions on her head and body, and officials suspected that she suffered a fall while intoxicated. Lee was released by the WWE in 2016 after her year-long stint with the organization. She was married to fellow wrestler Wesley Blake and had three children.
