Orioles reshuffle as Mountcastle lands on 60-day IL and Wilson gets the call
The Baltimore Orioles placed Ryan Mountcastle on the 60-day injured list with a serious left-foot injury and selected Weston Wilson to take his roster spot. The club had already recalled Dean Kremer and also completed a trade acquiring corner infielder Christian Encarnacion-Strand in a cash swap with the Reds. Jackson Holliday remains with the club but not yet back from his own injury, and the Orioles are rebalancing their lineup around Mountcastle’s absence while Mayo and Westburg provide in-house options at first base and the infield.
