South Park Duo Take Responsibility for Kendrick Lamar Film Delays
Trey Parker and Matt Stone apologized for the delays surrounding Whitney Springs, their Kendrick Lamar–produced musical film announced in 2022. The project, written by Vernon Chatman and featuring new and unreleased Kendrick Lamar music, was originally slated to premiere in 2025 and go into production in 2024, but scheduling has shifted due to personal and industry factors, including the Paramount–Skydance merger. The film was removed from the schedule last November, and Parker and Stone said they take responsibility and remain committed, apologizing to partners at pgLang and Paramount.
