Death Stranding 2 has enlisted Yoji Shimomura, known for his work on Metal Gear Solid 5 and Devil May Cry 5, as the action director for its cutscenes. The game's new trailer revealed Shimomura's involvement, along with other long-time collaborators of Hideo Kojima. The subtitle for Death Stranding 2 is 'On the Beach,' and it is set to release in 2025 for the PS5. Shimomura initially worked on Devil May Cry 5 at Capcom before returning to Kojima Productions.
