Community Unites in Balloon Release for Young Victim of West End Mass Shooting
Family and friends gathered in the West End to hold a balloon release in memory of an 11-year-old boy who was killed in a shooting near Laurel Playground. The boy, a sixth-grader at Cincinnati College Preparatory Academy, was described as a good student and a beloved friend. The community is grappling with the senseless act of violence, and the family is urging for the arrest of the suspect. The shooting also injured six others, some of whom were juveniles, and has highlighted the issue of youth gun violence.
