Less than 24 hours after winning the Memorial Tournament, Viktor Hovland caddied for former college teammate Zach Bauchou in the final qualifying round for the U.S. Open. The duo were part of Oklahoma State University's 2018 National Championship team. Hovland fell short as runner-up in last month's PGA Championship and will be making his fifth U.S. Open appearance on June 15-18 at the Los Angeles Country Club.
Viktor Hovland, who won The Memorial and $3.6 million on Sunday, caddied for his college teammate Zach Bauchou in a U.S. Open qualifier in Columbus, Ohio, on Monday. Bauchou will be playing 36 holes to try to qualify for the U.S. Open, while Hovland has already qualified. The USGA is holding 10 of its 13 qualifiers around the country on Monday, with 878 players competing for just 45 remaining spots at next week's Open at Los Angeles Country Club.
