Canadian TV veteran Scott Hylands dies at 83, Night Heat and Fargo star

Scott Hylands, a Canadian actor known for Night Heat and a recurring Fargo role, has died at 83. Born in 1943 in Alberta, he built a career in theatre and television across Canada and the United States, starring as Detective Kevin 'OB' O’Brien in Night Heat—the first Canadian original drama broadcast on a U.S. network—and later appearing in The X-Files, NYPD Blue, Stargate SG-1 and Supernatural, with a 2017 Fargo season 3 role as Ennis Stussy. He is survived by his wife Veronica and children Luke and Rebecca.
