Mahle Takes the Mound as Braves Look to Lock NL East Lead Against Phillies

Tyler Mahle will start for Atlanta as they try to tighten the NL East race against Philadelphia, which scratched Jesus Luzardo with shoulder soreness. The Phillies used five relievers in an 11-inning win Friday, so the Braves expect to jump on patchy innings and back Mahle with early run support, while Mahle continues to lean on a two-pitch mix to keep hitters off balance.
