"Captivating Audiobook Review: 'Tom Lake' by Ann Patchett"

Meryl Streep narrates Ann Patchett's sentimental new novel, "Tom Lake," about a Midwestern family. Set during the pandemic, the story follows Lara Nelson as she reminisces about her past while her three daughters become captivated by her earlier life. Streep's narration adds whimsy and depth to the narrative, blurring the lines between small-town nostalgia and big-city dreams. The audiobook provides a meta-textual and meta-theatrical experience, with Streep delivering the full, unedited version of the story.
