ACOG Advances PMB Evaluation with Combined Ultrasound and Tissue Sampling

ACOG released a Clinical Practice Update advising that most patients with postmenopausal bleeding should be evaluated with a combination of transvaginal ultrasound and endometrial tissue sampling at the initial visit to improve early detection of endometrial cancer, reduce missed diagnoses, and address disparities—emphasizing shared decision making and patient-centered counseling.
