Community Unites to Address Violence and Chaos in Deer Park and Clifton Neighborhoods

Neighbors in Deer Park and Clifton neighborhoods express concerns about increasing violence, chaos, and safety issues, including loud music, drag racing, and fights. A recent deadly shooting has further heightened worries. Over 300 residents from Districts 8 and 9 met with city leaders to demand action. The Office of Group Violence Intervention and the Office for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods are investing in crime prevention strategies. LMPD and Alcohol Beverage Control will enforce a zero-tolerance policy for noise violations in all bars in Jefferson County.
