Facing the threat of China, companies in Taiwan are shifting their focus to defense manufacturing. Taiwan, known for its expertise in electronics and semiconductor chips, is now exploring partnerships with U.S. companies to develop dual-use technologies for its military. The aim is to boost Taiwan's defense capabilities and create self-reliant supply chains, reducing dependence on foreign imports. Taiwanese companies are adapting their production lines to manufacture weapons and defense equipment, such as drones with military capabilities and gun scopes. The move comes as China conducts military exercises simulating a blockade of Taiwan, prompting the island to seek ways to enhance its national security.
