Top oil executives and ministers gather in Houston for the CERAWeek energy conference, buoyed by stable oil prices and blockbuster mergers. Despite geopolitical turmoil, oil prices remain steady, prompting discussions on energy security and transition. The conference will address global energy outlook, LNG developments, U.S. climate policies, and the role of AI in energy production. Climate concerns are reflected in sessions on carbon sequestration and hydrogen fuels, while the growing issue of consumer willingness to pay for clean fuels and ROI for energy companies is also discussed. Notably absent are top oil ministers from OPEC countries, and the conference also focuses on the impact of recent acquisitions on U.S. shale production.
