SantaCon 2023: NYC Braces for Booze-Fueled Anarchy as Mr Clauses Invade

New York City is preparing for the annual SantaCon parade, where thousands of revelers dressed as Santas take to the streets for a boozy pub crawl. The event, which originated as a performance art protest in Denmark in the 1970s, has faced criticism for public intoxication, debauchery, and disruptive behavior. Many locals and businesses have boycotted the parade, and the transit police have implemented a city-wide ban on alcohol on subway platforms and trains. Despite attempts to improve the event's reputation, controversy continues to surround SantaCon.
