"The Archies: A Bollywood-Style Musical with Goofy Capitalism Lessons and Political Awareness"

"The Archies" is a goofy musical film that transposes the Riverdale narrative universe into an Indian setting. Set in a mythical town called Riverdale in northern India, the story follows the teenage kids who are unaware of the changing times and the plans of a local oligarch to develop their beloved Green Park. The film combines catchy songs, peppy choreography, and subversive thoughts, making it a guilt-free pleasure that is both super-corny and ridiculous. Director Zoya Akhtar injects brisk pacing and joie de vivre into the proceedings, creating a bizarre but enjoyable experience.
