Tragedy at the Texas Border: 3 Migrants Drown Crossing the Rio Grande

A mother and her two children drowned while attempting to cross the Rio Grande from Mexico to the U.S., sparking a conflict between the Biden administration and Texas Governor Greg Abbott over border policies. The federal government claims that Texas soldiers blocked Border Patrol officers from reaching the distressed migrants, while Texas authorities dispute this, stating that the drownings had already occurred when access was requested. The incident has intensified the political battle over border security and illegal immigration, with Texas's aggressive crackdown drawing criticism and legal challenges, and Republicans pushing for major changes in immigration policy.
