"Poland Investigates Alleged Russian Missile Airspace Breach Amid Calls for Hard Evidence"

Polish F-16 fighter jets were deployed after a Russian cruise missile entered Poland's airspace during a significant Russian assault on Ukraine. The missile traveled 40 km within Poland before exiting, and the incident was closely monitored by Polish and NATO radar systems. Poland's air defense systems, including Patriot and NASAMS, did not engage the missile. The Polish Foreign Ministry summoned the Russian charge d’affaires for clarification, while Russia denied any evidence of the violation. No ground impact was found after a military investigation, and Poland has experienced several similar airspace violations since the start of the Ukraine conflict.
