Verona to brew final Schlitz batch, ending a Milwaukee beer era

Wisconsin Brewing Company in Verona will brew the last batch of Schlitz, basing the recipe on 1948 logs to evoke the beer’s Golden Age. Production begins May 23 with a June 27 debut at the Verona taproom, featuring on-tap Schlitz, 4-packs and live music, plus a talk by brewmaster Kirby Nelson, marking the end of Schlitz brewing under the Pabst/Stroh lineage.
