"Massive Blaze Engulfs Historic NJ Industrial Complex Near Newark Airport"

A significant fire broke out at a New Jersey industrial park, once the site of the historic Singer sewing machine factory, leading to the partial collapse of the building. Over 100 firefighters responded to the four-alarm fire, with no injuries reported. The oldest part of the building, an iconic historical section, was not threatened by the flames. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and efforts to extinguish it may take several days. The Singer factory, a key player during the Industrial Revolution and both World Wars, ceased operations in 1982 and the space was repurposed for small businesses.
