Civ 7 Patch Lets You Play as One Civilization From Start to Finish

Firaxis announces the Test of Time patch for Civilization 7, described as the game’s most fundamentally game-changing update since launch. The patch lets players stay with a single civilization through an entire match (with optional changes during Age Transitions) and introduces Syncretism and Aff irmation mechanics to mix or deepen a civ’s identity. It also reworks Victories, adds a Triumph system, and brings a new map and narrative events as part of a free May 19 update, with Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick noting the game was a “bridge too far” but remains profitable and capable of improvements.
