"U.S. Embassy Issues Warning of Imminent Terrorist Attacks in Moscow"

The U.S. Embassy in Russia issued a security alert warning of potential imminent attacks by "extremists" in Moscow, advising American citizens to avoid large gatherings for 48 hours. The alert did not provide specific details but mentioned potential targeting of concerts. This comes after reports of Russian security services thwarting an armed attack on a Moscow synagogue planned by the Afghan branch of ISIS. The U.S. government advises against travel to Russia due to the invasion of Ukraine, and it's unclear if the security alert is related to the foiled ISIS plot.
