Las Vegas to host controversial Enhanced Games debut this Sunday
The Enhanced Games debut Sunday in Las Vegas as a controversial, doping-encouraged meet with 42 athletes across sprinting, swimming and weightlifting, offering a $25 million prize and 2,500 invite-only spectators; headlined by Fred Kerley with a diverse roster and notable backers including Peter Thiel, Donald Trump Jr., and Rob McElhenney. World Athletics President Sebastian Coe condemns the event and warns bans for participants; prizes go to top finishers but no world records will be officially recognized. The event streams on Roku, YouTube, Rumble, Twitch and Kick, features Alan Walker performances, and ends with a World’s Greatest Deadlift Showdown between Thor Björnsson and Mitchell Hooper.
