UVA Shooting: Mothers Seek Answers, Community Unites in Remembrance

One year after the U-Va. shooting that claimed the lives of three football teammates, the mothers of D’Sean Perry and Michael Hollins Jr. have formed a close friendship and are seeking answers. The University of Virginia requested an external review into the shooting and its interactions with the shooter before the incident, but the findings have not yet been released publicly. The mothers hope the report will provide clarity and closure. As the criminal proceedings continue, they also call for the university to take a leadership role in campus safety and gun violence prevention.
