"Eurostar Resumes Channel Crossings Following Flood-Induced Disruptions"

Eurostar services between London and several European cities have been cancelled due to flooding caused by heavy rains and Storm Gerrit. The flooding, particularly in a tunnel under the River Thames, has left travelers stranded during a busy festive period. The UK and other parts of Europe, including Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, and Lithuania, are facing severe weather conditions with further travel disruptions expected. Flood defenses are being put in place as rivers overflow and weather forecasts predict continued heavy rainfall and strong winds.
