Ukraine's Dam Breach Reveals WWII Weapons as Russia Prepares for Conflict

The draining of Ukraine's Kakhovka reservoir, which was destroyed during World War II, is revealing modern and older weapons, including remnants of air-defense missiles and munitions from the Second World War. Explosive technicians are destroying mines and other weapons found, and authorities have ordered civilians to stay away due to the lurking dangers. The area is also complicated by unexploded ordnance and Russian shelling, making it difficult for officials and journalists to verify unverified videos and images of skulls found in mud.
