"Portland Prepares for Impending Snowstorm with Emergency Kits and Shelter Plans"

Portland chefs and restaurant owners are preparing for an anticipated snowstorm by offering "snowpocalypse kits" and "survival kits" for customers to purchase ahead of the inclement weather. These kits include meal options such as Indian American cuisine, sandwich fixings, salads, soups, taco kits, and take-and-bake pot pies, providing a way for businesses to make up for potential lost revenue during the storm. The lack of extreme weather infrastructure in Portland has historically impacted the restaurant industry significantly during snowstorms, leading to financial challenges for small businesses.
