Cambridge Council Orders Removal of Prince Philip Statue

The Cambridge city council has ordered the removal of a controversial 13 ft. statue of Prince Philip, commissioned by Unex Group, due to its harmful impact on the area and the fact that it was erected without permission. The statue, known as The Don, has faced backlash since its installation in 2014, with the council stating that it had been denied planning permission. Residents have been notified that the statue will be taken down within four months, with the possibility of appeals.
