John Deere tests AI assistant that uses farm data to boost farming decisions

John Deere is testing its 'JD' AI assistant, which uses farmers’ own field, machine, and operational data to answer questions about equipment settings, fuel use, and harvest timing, backed by a 10-point Farmer Data Commitment that pledges not to sell data and to give farmers control over third-party sharing, with plans to roll out in the Operations Center and across web, mobile, and in-cab displays, and to expand into turf, construction, roadbuilding, and forestry.
