Ford introduces electric Explorer SUV for European market.

Ford has unveiled the Explorer EV, an all-electric SUV developed specifically for the European market and built on Volkswagen Group's MEB architecture. The mid-size crossover will be Ford's first volume all-electric passenger car built in Europe and will be available in two highly specified versions, Explorer and Explorer Premium. The Explorer EV will have a starting price under $48,300 and will offer responsive and refined rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive battery-electric powertrains that will offer DC fast charging times from 10 percent to 80 percent as low as 25 minutes. The vehicle will also feature automated lane changes and a range of driver assistance systems.
