Investigation Launched into Ford Mustang Mach-E EV Recall Fix by NHTSA

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has launched an investigation into Ford's solution for a June 2022 recall affecting nearly 49,000 Ford Mustang Mach-E models. The recall was issued due to potential overheating of the high-voltage battery main contactors during fast charging and aggressive driving. Ford had implemented software updates and issued a technical service bulletin to address the issue, but the NHTSA opened the investigation after receiving customer complaints about continued problems. Approximately 64,727 Mustang Mach-E models are under investigation.
