Mercedes-Benz EV Sales Skyrocket, Outpacing Competitors in Q2

Mercedes-Benz USA experienced a significant surge in electric vehicle (EV) sales, with a growth rate of over 600% in the second quarter of 2023 compared to the same period last year. EVs now account for 15% of Mercedes-Benz's total passenger vehicle sales in the US. The company sold 11,927 EVs in Q2 2023, bringing the total number of electric models sold in the first half of the year to 19,268. Mercedes-Benz attributes the sustained demand for its EV lineup and top-end vehicles as the driving force behind this growth. In contrast, other US automakers like Ford and GM have seen a decline in EV sales.
