Nissan Commits to Fully Electric Future in Europe

Nissan has announced that all new models it launches in Europe will be fully electric, as it aims for solely electric vehicle sales on the continent by 2030. The company plans to launch 27 electric and hybrid vehicles globally by 2030, including 19 all-electric models. Nissan also intends to introduce cobalt-free technology to reduce the cost of EV batteries and launch a vehicle with all-solid-state batteries by fiscal 2028. The move comes as Nissan's rivals, including Renault, Ford, and Stellantis, have also announced plans to transition their European passenger ranges to fully electric by 2030.
