Strong Q3 Sales Propel Ford's EVs and Pickup Trucks to New Heights

Ford's third-quarter EV sales surpassed 20,000 units, with the Mustang Mach-E leading the way with a 42.5% increase in sales. The company sold a total of 20,962 electric vehicles, edging out GM. While the Mach-E's sales surged, Ford's electric pickup sales declined by 46% from last year. Ford is on track to triple F-150 Lightning production capacity and introduced a new "Flash" trim to cater to customer demand. However, Ford's EV sales still only accounted for just over 4% of its overall sales, and it trails behind Rivian in terms of electric vehicle deliveries.
