Forbes conducted an investigation and found that Lo's claims were false. His family's fortune is estimated to be less than $200 million, far from the billion-dollar net worth he presented. Lo also falsely claimed to be a Harvard Business School graduate and the owner of multiple luxury properties. Forbes estimated his company's worth to be around $60 million, significantly less than the $1 billion in premiums he claimed.
