"Post Office Chairman Henry Staunton Ousted Amid Horizon IT Scandal Fallout"
TL;DR
Post Office chairman Henry Staunton has stepped down amid ongoing tensions following the Horizon IT scandal, with Business Secretary Kemi Badenoch stating that there was a need for new leadership. The government has not provided a reason for his dismissal, but the Post Office has confirmed that an interim chair will be appointed shortly. The Horizon scandal saw hundreds of sub-postmasters wrongly convicted due to faulty accounting software, and the Post Office is currently facing public scrutiny and questions at a public inquiry.
