The move comes amid high Model Y inventories and slowing EV demand. In contrast, Tesla isn't cutting prices for the new Model 3, which is no longer eligible for the $7,500 tax credit. The company's stock rose 3% last week, while rival Rivian also reduced prices for its R1T pickup and R1S SUV.
