Tesla has announced the availability of the updated Model 3 in North America, offering Rear Wheel Drive and Long Range variants at unchanged prices from the original model. However, these trims are not eligible for IRA tax credits due to tougher battery sourcing rules. The company is no longer offering a Model 3 Performance and the updated Long Range variant is more expensive than all Model Y variants after tax credits. Tesla stock edged higher following the announcement.
