Tesla Clears Canada Model 3 Stock Ahead of Chinese EV Imports
Tesla reportedly cleared its Canadian Model 3 inventory ahead of a policy shift that will allow Chinese-built EVs into Canada at a reduced 6.1% tariff, part of a Canada–China pact. This move could enable immediate import of Chinese-made Model 3s to Canada, with some reports suggesting U.S.-built units were moved back to the U.S. to dodge tariffs and noting that Chinese-made Teslas are already listed in Transport Canada's database.
