Baltimore Police Share Tips to Prevent Car Thefts.

Baltimore County police are offering preventative measures to car owners as the number of car thefts increases across the area, with Hyundai and Kia cars being the main targets. Thieves usually steal cars requiring a key to turn and start the ignition, and some have used something as simple as a USB port to start the car. Police are finding that many of the thieves are under the age of 18 and are repeatedly arrested. Police are giving out steering wheel locks as theft-prevention devices and urging Hyundai and Kia drivers to take other precautions, such as getting a software patch from the dealership.
