Miami Waitress Charged in Credit Bust-Out Fraud That Financed 10 Cars

In a Florida credit bust-out fraud, a Miami waitress named Dunia Sierra allegedly lied on loan forms—claiming to own a restaurant and earning $180,000 a month—to finance about 10 cars in eight days, aided by dealership finance managers and straw buyers. The lineup included a Corvette Stingray, BMW i8, Hyundai Palisade, Kia Telluride, Mazda CX-9, a Toyota Highlander, and three Harley motorcycles, all with front-loaded options and suspected resale or overseas shipping. She was arrested on April 9 facing charges of organized fraud, grand theft and vehicle-related fraud, with a $26,000 bond.
