International Operation Takes Down 911 S5 Botnet, Arrests Administrator

An international law enforcement operation led by the U.S. Justice Department dismantled the 911 S5 botnet, used for various cybercrimes, and arrested its administrator, YunHe Wang. Wang allegedly created and operated the botnet, which compromised millions of computers worldwide and generated millions of dollars by selling access to cybercriminals. The operation involved multiple countries and resulted in the seizure of assets and infrastructure worth approximately $60 million. Wang faces multiple charges and up to 65 years in prison if convicted.
