Multiple Hospitals Experience Data Breaches in Alabama and North Carolina

Community Health Systems, a healthcare company that operates six hospitals in Alabama, announced that patient and other personal information may have been disclosed during a cybersecurity incident in January. The incident was discovered by the cybersecurity firm contracted by the company, and personal information on patients, a limited number of employees, and other individuals may have been disclosed to an unauthorized party. The company is offering identity restoration and credit monitoring services for free for two years to those affected.
