"NASSCO Secures Lucrative DDG-51 Ship Repair Deal"

General Dynamics NASSCO, a subsidiary of General Dynamics, has been awarded a $15.6 million contract by the US Navy for the maintenance and modernization of the USS Chung-Hoon (DDG 93) and USS James E. Williams (DDG 95). The contract has options that could bring the total value to $753.8 million. The vessels will undergo depot modernization periods of approximately 23 and 24 months, respectively, with upgrades to their AN/SLQ-32 Electronic Warfare system expected.
