"Growing Concern Among Americans Over Bank Deposit Safety"

Nearly half of Americans are concerned about the safety of their funds in banks or other financial institutions, with 19% feeling "very" concerned and 29% "moderately" worried, according to a recent Gallup poll. The survey was conducted a month after Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank failed, marking some of the biggest bank failures in US history. The latest data gathered was similar to the level of concern Americans expressed during the 2008 financial crisis. Those most concerned are lower-income adults, those without a college degree, and Republicans, according to the data.
