Horizon Organic Chocolate Milk Recalled Nationwide Over Spoilage and Off Flavors

Nearly 54,000 cases of Horizon Organic Dairy 1% Chocolate Milk (12-pack and 18-pack, 8-ounce) are being recalled nationwide after customers reported bloated cartons and an unpleasant smell, taste, or texture. In total, 53,760 cases are recalled (34,524 of the 12-pack and 19,236 of the 18-pack). The 12-packs have UPC 742365002700 with best-by dates Jan. 28–Feb. 3, 2027; the 18-packs have UPC 742365208867 with best-by dates Jan. 31–Feb. 2, 2027. Horizon says the milk may spoil prematurely and is investigating the cause; recall began Aug. 7 and is ongoing. Consumers should discard affected products, keep receipts and packaging, and call 1-888-494-3020 for refunds or more information.
